Privacy Policy

BidBazaar (bidbazaar.co) is an information service that aggregates publicly available bank e-auction notices published under the SARFAESI Act, 2002. This page explains, in plain language, what data we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Area alerts: if you subscribe to auction alerts, we store your WhatsApp number and your chosen preferences (state, area, property type, budget). Your number is verified with a one-time code; we store only a cryptographic hash of that code, never the code itself.
Contact form: if you write to us, we store your message, your email address, and your name if you provide one, so we can reply.
Automatic logs: like nearly every website, our servers record standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used for security, debugging, and rate limiting.

We do not require accounts, we do not ask for financial or identity documents, and we never sell your personal data.

Listing data

Property details shown on BidBazaar (including borrower names where present) come from statutory auction notices that banks have published on official public portals such as BAANKNET. We display this public information as-is, with links back to the official source, and refresh it daily. To report an error or request a correction, please use the contact page.

Advertising & cookies

BidBazaar is free to use and funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, including cookies that may personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can control this:

Beyond advertising, BidBazaar sets no tracking cookies of its own.

How we use your data

To deliver the WhatsApp alerts you asked for (messages are sent via Meta's WhatsApp Business platform).
To reply when you contact us.
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run BidBazaar: our hosting provider (Render), Meta (to deliver WhatsApp messages you've opted into), and Google (advertising, as described above). Each receives only what's necessary for its function.

Retention & deleting your data

Alerts: kept until you unsubscribe. Reply STOP to any alert message, or ask us via the contact page, and your subscription is deactivated.
Contact messages: kept as long as needed to handle your query.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact page. We honour requests consistent with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Children

BidBazaar is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage.

Questions or complaints

Write to us via the contact page — including for grievances under the DPDP Act, 2023. We aim to respond within 7 days.
